episode discussion 8x06 A Little Reflection

A Little Reflection 8X06

Dexter mentors a young psychopath.
Dexter and Debra get back to normal.

Unsurprisingly, Rita's death was the most shocking moment in Dexter history.
This week I ask, What hooked you into the series?

How'd you become a fan of the show?

Read the books.
Fan of Michael C. Hall from Six Feet Under.
The dark humor.
Serial killer point of view
Brilliant cast of characters.
Michael C. Hall looks pretty sweet in that Henley thermal.

this works, I've heard...

Showtime has been messing with my emotions all weekend, but for some reason,
the channel with dexter is working!
those cold fuckers at showtime is airing
some other bullshit in it's place.

I picked characters for the poll because I came around to the show through ontd in 2011. I just liked it : )

the end was really good. didnt see it happening.

that zach kid is trouble. elway and deb are nice.

the best part was deb and dexter not talking about murders or what not. just like old times. just easy conversation

SO glad they are back to normal. Loved the steak scene.
Zach is a mess, but I am curious to see what happens.

So glad that deb and dex are back to 'normal'.
I love that deb has her humor back, she is awesome.

What's the point of the neighbor? GTFO
What's the point of all harrison's lying and talking to invisible friends?
Any theories there?
Dexter always looks like he about to kill Vogel.
The end was surprisingly shocking, seeing deb and dex just pass out. I was like WTF.
Anyone know what they were eating?
Quinn, why are you still fucking whining about girls and your loser career? GTFO
finally, fuck you showtime/tw!

I saw the thing with Zach coming, but I don't find him charismatic enough to be all that interested in that storyline.

Don't care about Hannah either.

I really hope Dexter doesn't start blabbing about Zach as someone who "gets him", the only one he can "show his true side to" etc. This has happened so many time over the course of the series by now, I fell like Dexter's had A LOT of people who get him.

I liked Dexter's awkward date! Also, curious as to what will happen with Deb and her boss.

this episode had some lazy writing wow i had to struggle to keep myself awake

dexter should have killed that kid jfc every season someone finds out about him, and every season it brings trouble! it's like he never learns!

vogel remains suspicious as fuck

i like hannah but that appearance at the end was lame lol

Why did it taken them so long to bring her back into the picture??

i think it's messy writing tbh. they probably didn't know where to put her, and now that the whole "deb freaking out over dexter being a killer" part is over they decided to bring her in.

remember when zero peoplle knew about dexter? now 4 people....4 peoplle living (or visiting) miami know about his secret. wtf. also, cant dexter just kill people? cutting off zach reminded me of hannahs table. which...btw...i feel like deb is going to take her second poisioning to heart. i beg the writers to let deb kill hannah. please jesus, for me.

Dexter not killing many people is kind of driving me nuts this season.

Haha I agree. I was so pissed he once again let someone go. I'm like, this is definitely not the Dexter of season one, episode one.

i was so disappointed because for one second i expected dexter to be like "... am i ready for this, to be a spiritual father?" /stabs the kid "nah, i don't think i am"

and tbh it would have been great if he did, i mean, you could see from miles away that he was going to let him go lol

it also sucks that hannahs here again because debs right. hannah was the begining of her spiral down. and now thats shes back and deb wants her dead, it totally will shake up her ptsd and maybe she'll slide down to the depths again.

i will be surprised if deb doesn't kill her.
